Armenian Council Participates in Global Armenian Summit

Joining hundreds of professionals from different fields in Armenia and the Diaspora, Armenian Council Project Director, Ms. Christine Shahinian, participated in the “Global Armenian Summit”, organized by the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs, held in Yerevan on October 28 through October 31, 2022.

Welcoming speeches were given by Republic of Armenia Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, President of Artsakh Arayik Harutyunyan, President of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia Alen Simonyan, and High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan.

The agenda of the summit included topics such as national security, protection of Armenian interests, development of strategic spheres in the homeland, repatriation, investment, preservation of Armenian culture, self-organization of the Diaspora, among other relevant matters.

As a grassroots organization, ACA is dedicated to working with all political leaders, offering Armenian related news, analysis and resources for policymakers, media, students and activists, advocating issues important to Armenian Americans. The ACA also aims to strengthen U.S. – Armenia and U.S. – Artsakh ties, the development of programs promoting sustainable economic growth and good governance in Armenia, while promoting the values and responsibilities of global citizenship.
